It’s the 21st of January I’m doing pretty well on my New Year’s resolution. I go swimming every Sunday…running on Saturdays (when it doesn’t rain!!) so me doing sports is going well. I’m still drinking my glass of warm water with fresh lemon juice every morning, so that’s going very well…I made some delicious choco balls from Rens Kroes’s cookbook Powerfood, so I’m making healthy sweets ánd I mostly eat healthy during the week. Mostly… because I’m just craving chocolate so bad these days! So I have my weak moments. But hey it’s all about balance right? So a weak moment and a bit of chocolate every now and then doesn’t hurt, right? Right??
During the weekend I’m doing much better than at work. I just want to eat all the time when I’m at work. So a few times a week I bring a green smoothie to work to avoid eating chocolate, cookies or something else when I’m craving something sweet. The smoothie I made a few days ago is so good and it works, I haven’t eaten anything besides my lunch and fruit I brought from home. I always prepare it the night before as I don’t have much time in the morning. I leave home at 7am so every minute I can spend sleeping in the morning is a precious one (yep, I love sleeping!).
Spinach Mango Smoothie
handful fresh spinach
juice of 1/2 lemon
Cut the mango in small pieces and put in a blender. Add water and lemon juice and blend until smooth. Add spinach and blend again until smooth.
